Stephanie is a Senior Educational Psychologist working for a Local Authority Educational Psychology Service. She is passionate about inclusion and person-centred planning. Stephanie has responsibility for Early Intervention, Support and Inclusive Practice alongside her leadership and management responsibilities. She has led a number of city wide projects promoting inclusion and embedding person-centred planning across a range of contexts. 

Stephanie has been in a leadership position in an Educational Psychology Service for over 8 years. Previously she was a Specialist Senior Educational Psychologist working in the early years.  She completed the doctoral training course in Applied Child and Educational Psychology at the University of Birmingham in 2013. Prior to training to be an Educational Psychologist, she was Head of Psychology teaching at a large secondary comprehensive school.

I am committed to relational approaches and work hard to build and facilitate strong, respectful, supportive and authentic relationships. I believe in life long learning and am always finding ways to challenge myself and reflect in order to continue to develop thinking and skills. I enjoy listening to and learning from others and am always open to understand and reflect on differing positions/perspectives or voices. 

I strongly believe in values-led leadership and applied psychology practice. I use values to guide my practice and decision making. I am keen to work with others to consider how inclusive practice can be at the heart of all that we do so that we continually shape and adapt practices and systems to remove barriers and set high aspirations together. 

I massively value and celebrate diversity, difference and individuality and feel strongly that ‘all means all’ and that everyone should have the opportunity for equal access and positive participation. 

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending quality time with my children, family and friends. I love to cook for others and also have a keen interest in property renovation’.
