Setting up my first Circle ever in Lambeth, London, UK November 2001 I just thought I would let you know that I have set up my first circle today !! I thought I had best do it while I was still wearing the yellow hat. Despite what you had said, I felt unsure of the class' response and was concerned that Anthony would come back in the room to find no one was ready to act as his team. This did not happen of course, I was moved to see how many children were wanting to be on board. The hardest bit was when Anthony heard of the things that children found a problem; he had been so thrilled with the positives ( Anthony makes me laugh, he is the 2nd best runner !!!!, he is great at painting faces, he has neat writing etc X-team was then born............and the first suggestions made ( him always being at the front of the line was their first concern.........isn't it amazing how that is so important to kids !!! ) We then moved on to kicking , punching, swearing, etc The rest remains to be seen...........weekly sessions have been set up The LSA was in tears afterwards with the emotion of it all and the way the other children re -acted A really positive start ........all the staff are watching with enthusiasm and expectation Thanks again ........I have recommended your course to everyone I have met so far !!!
